In 2011, the Great East End Walk raised over £30,000 for St Joseph’s Hospice. This year we need your help to raise even more!
1. Set up your fundraising web page by clicking here. It may sound tricky but it’s actually surprisingly simple to set up a fundraising page, will take you only 5 minutes and is proven to raise more money. Once it’s set up, tell of all of you friends, family and colleagues, shout about it on facebook and add it as a signature to all of your emails!
2. Download our Fundraising Pack for lots of tips and ideas.
3. Download a sponsorship form and ask, ask, ask everyone you know to sponsor you.
4. Check with your employer to see if they run a match-giving scheme. Many employers will match the amount raised by individual employees for good causes like St Joseph’s.
5. Don’t forget Gift Aid! St Joseph’s can claim an extra 25% from HM revenue & Customs on all donations from UK tax payers - making it the easiest way to boost your fundraising without any extra effort. All that you need to do is make sure that your sponsors tick the Gift Aid box on the sponsor form and include their address. For every £10 donation, we receive a total £12.50 at no extra cost to your sponsor - meaning that if we reach our £30,000 target, we could potentially receive an extra £7,500 in Gift Aid!
